Instead of T-Mobile riding off into the sunset a Sunset is actually coming to them. T-Mobile introduced the the new BlackBerry Curve 8320 - Sunset on Monday. The most catching feature of the new model is its red “Sunset” color.

The BlackBerry Curve Sunset is WiFi enabled and includes a 2 megapixel camera. A stereo hands-free headset is included with the phone in addition to support for instant messaging clients including Google Talk, Yahoo!, AOL and Windows Live Messenger. The phone can also be used globally anywhere that T-Mobile provides GPRS service. The BlackBerry Curve 8320 Sunset is available on the T-Mobile website for US$149.99 after a US$100 instant discount and a US$100 mail-in rebate with a two-year minimum service agreement.

Well, I suppose if you can’t offer a phone exclusively you can always offer it in an exclusive color like T-Mobile did. If you’ve been one of those folks looking for just the right color blackberry this is a new option for you. Of course, just make sure it matches what you typically wear. After all, mobile handsets are not only functional, but fashionable as well. It sounds like the BlackBerry Curve Sunset gives you both.

Tascam’s latest guitar/bass recorder, the GT-R1, will be available in Japan this August 26th, enabling guitar fiends to make a recording of their parts to be played back on the computer or ipod at a later period. It comes with a direct guitar/bass input and will feature an SDHC memory card slot, a 128 x 64 LCD backlit display, and a guitar/bass trainer that allows you to slow down the speed of audio playback without experiencing a change in pitch so that you remain on track to get those tricky parts right. Other features include an integrated multi effect and 55 preset rhythm patterns. All playback and recording are done in MP3/WAV formats. The Tascam GT-R1 recorder is tipped to retail for around €200.

As a recent VIA promo video would have you believe, the company’s lightweight Nano processor is capable of soundly beating Intel’s competing Atom CPU when it comes to playing HD video. Or is it? Not willing to take VIA’s word at face value, jkkmobile decided to try out the very same 1080p video on an Eee PC with the same Atom processor that VIA used in its test and — surprise, surprise — they found that the video played just fine. Now, it is entirely possible that the Nano can beat the Atom in playing video under certain circumstances (and given the raw benchmark numbers, that even seems likely), but when it comes to basic HD video playback, it seems that the Atom can at least hold its own. We’ve seen Lenovo beefing up its consumer offerings of late, but this is really taking it up a notch. The company just announced its very first netbook, the recently spotted 10.2-inch, Atom-powered little wonder. Sadly, there’s little of note in the design — it seems to have more in common with the MSI Wind and the Eee PC than its Lenovo siblings — but the $399 starting price is certainly pleasing. That model brings 512MB of RAM and a 80GB hard drive, while a $450 version will be available with 1GB of RAM and 160GB of storage, with both being powered by 1.6GHz Atom chipsets. Windows XP will be preloaded initially, but Linpus versions will be available eventually. The display is 1024 x 600 and LED backlit, and the touchpad does multi-touch. Lenovo didn’t skimp on the trimmings either, with WiFi, Bluetooth, ExpressCard, 4-in-1 card reader and a 1.3 megapixel webcam. The S10 hits China on September 5th, and will land in the States in early October. A 9-inch version is also in the works for other countries.

Guess there is no escape from the clutches of Swarovski - even the iRiver Mickey Mouse mp3 player is now available in crystal studded models. Spread across seven different colors and four patterns, these MP3 players will come in limited numbers in order to raise their exclusivity. The only difference between these new models and the vanilla versions would be the addition of 133 to 210 Swarovski crystals - otherwise, everything else inside remains the same including 1GB of memory, MP3/WMA playback and ears that function as controls. Each of these limited edition MP3 players will cost an obscene $150 (definitely not worth the bang for your buck).

We must deal with the facts. The original Doctor Who series is dead and buried, impossible to return in its original glory. The new episodes are all well and good, but the original series, that’s where the classics lie in an eternal archive. A memory of the budding influence on every single low budget special effect sci-fi series to follow.

But the memories are still intact! Saved on our stacks of DVDs and perhaps a VHS tape or two. And of course, in our minds. For the biggest Doctor Who fans, there is just not enough time in the day to immerse yourself in the fictional world. With the Steampunk trend still going strong, many are still creating lots of fun things for us to drool over.  This new one has found it’s way onto eBay.  The watch was of course handmade and comes complete with brass hardware as well as little vintage clock parts and gears.  For the watch itself he used a vintage quartz Giani-Giorgio watch.

It will expand to fit wrists ranging in size from 5 ½” on up to 8” by utilizing the two brass buckles on the bands.  Although it appears as if it would be impossible to change the battery on a watch like this.  It’s actually not as bad as it looks, all you have to do is unscrew the two cup-screws.  The band itself is made of three different kinds of thick and soft red-brown leather.  As of now the watch is set at $150 but it has another 3 and ½ days to go as of now.  Which gives it plenty of time to climb to a much more appalling price.
