I know that black magic is supposed to be some sort of taboo word, but RAmos is slowly but surely moving towards that direction with its Blue Magic T8 portable media player - at least in the naming convention. The T8 will probably turn heads each time you whip it out from your pocket, thanks to its sleek form factor that measures a mere 1cm thin. Other features include a 4.3″ display that won’t kill your eyes after a few minutes of video playback, an integrated FM radio as well as a purported wide range of video playback capability. No idea on how much it costs, but it ain’t called the iMovie for no good reason.

Just when we were done talking about an 8 megapixel CMOS image sensor from OmniVision, along comes K-Touch and their 8 megapixel camera phone which was paraded at CHITEC ‘08. This shooter is also known by its model number C280, using Canon’s Digic III imaging processor within in order to capture crystal clear images on-the-go without the need to invest in a Canon camera line. Other features include 3x optical zoom as well as up to 1600 ISO speeds. Don’t think we’ll see handsets such as these flooding the US anytime soon though.

This may be a ridiculous idea to some, but we have to admit that for others, Walt Disney is such a cult that would merit its own mobile phone model. Hence, Walt Disney has partnered up with Sharp to develop a Disney-inspired mobile handset. Don’t even think of protesting against the idea, as both companies are about to launch the new mobile phone, dubbed as the DM002SH on June 7 in Japan.

And what a better way to launch the said Disney phone but to pour in some good old Cinderella content into it? Cute? Well, that’s not to say that the DM002SH is nothing but cutesy Disney stuff, as the phone is also packed with some basic features including a 2.6-inch internal display with WQVGA resolution, a 0.5-inch external OLED display, 50MB of internal memory, a 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, microSD slot and 1Seg Tuner. In addition the DM002SH will also use the Disney Mobility service which is available with Softbank in Japan.

No pricing details are available yet, but we know for sure that this mobile phone will come in Clear Crystal, Brown Topaz and Pink Diamond colors.

Panasonic will be releasing its new pair of earphones known as the RP-HJE900 on June 15th in Japan. What makes this pair different from the rest in the market is the use of zirconia, a material often associated with the manufacturing of fake diamonds. Apparently zirconia suppresses sound distortion, or so the story goes. Sound pressure sensitivity has been rated to fall in the vicinity of 100dB/mW, with a frequency response of 6Hz–28 KHz accompanying each purchase. To add to the RP-HJE900’s uniqueness, it boasts removable cables, making it a whole lot easier to stow away without ending up with a tangled mess when you need it. No idea on how much it costs though.

It seems like Japan is always on the bleeding edge of technology. They always tend to get many of the best games and gadgets well before the rest of the world. Despite the fact that the Xbox 360 isn’t doing very well in Japan, they have a new way to buy points for the console; via cell phone.

If you live in Japan and use DoCoMo as your phone provider, you can purchase additional points or Gold Membership service by simply using an application on their mobile phone. The charges are added to your monthly bill, allowing you to bypass going to the store for a card, or handing over your credit card info to Microsoft. I would definitely go for this option if it were made available in the US. Unfortunately, there have been no announcements regarding such a launch.
