I know that black magic is supposed to be some sort of taboo word, but RAmos is slowly but surely moving towards that direction with its Blue Magic T8 portable media player - at least in the naming convention. The T8 will probably turn heads each time you whip it out from your pocket, thanks to its sleek form factor that measures a mere 1cm thin. Other features include a 4.3″ display that won’t kill your eyes after a few minutes of video playback, an integrated FM radio as well as a purported wide range of video playback capability. No idea on how much it costs, but it ain’t called the iMovie for no good reason.

Mobile Choice reviews the Sony Ericsson W890i and writes, ” This is only the second time Sony Ericsson has included a camera of this scope in any of its Walkman range, the only other being the slightly disappointing W960i. Taking into account the W890i’s slim build, this is no mean feat and we are pleased by the results. The large screen helps, but the camera is also fitted with an array of features that will help you capture some cracking pics. Failing that, you can always rely on the handset’s PhotoFix function. With the option of correcting your pics either manually or automatically, PhotoFix sharpens up your pictures by adjusting the light, white balance or colour of the original picture…The Sony Ericsson W890i also comes with a capable video camera. Capable of recording video in QVGA at 30 frames per second (i.e DVD quality), the W890i is a competent mobile camcorder, even though it doesn’t have quite the same abilities of the Cyber-shot range.”
Wired reviews the Paml Centro and writes, “The Palm Centro is like the friend you call when you need to be bailed out of jail: Reliable, smart and capable of getting the job done. But its dependable nature also means it’s not exactly the handset you want to party with…No WiFi or integrated GPS (a Bluetooth GPS receiver is optional). Short three-hour battery life. The 1.3-megapixel camera captured crap-quality photos. Plastic housing feels like it could be busted by a strong wind.”
